Former Nailer Goalie Danny Taylor Called up To NHL

The Los Angeles Kings recalled former Wheeling Nailer goaltender Danny Taylor from their American Hockey League affiliate Manchester Monarchs.

Taylor has a 13-5-2 record, a 2.40 goal-against average and four shutouts with Manchester this season.

Taylor, 21, was selected by the Kings in the seventh round of the 2004 draft.

The Kings brought up Taylor to fill the void left by veteran Dan Cloutier, who is suffering from a groin injury. As a result, Manchester signed Curtis Darling to a PTO yesterday.

Well, let me be first to say congrats to Curtis Darling. How we got such a standout goalie when we did was just amazing. Good luck to him and I can't wait to see him on NHL Center Ice next season. You know he's not far off.
