The Pittsburgh Penguins made a trade today that hits close to home for Nailer fans.
Former Wheeling Nailer, Joe Jensen, has been traded to the Carolina Hurricaines and in returnthe Penguins have acquired forward David Gove.
Gove has played 45 games this season scoring 23 points (8G,15A) for the Albany River Rats of the AHL.
Gove also has some NHL experience to his credentials as he made his NHL debut with the Hurricanes during the 2005-06 season recording a point in his only game in the NHL that season coming by way of an assist. Gove appeared in one game for Carolina during the 2006-07 season but failed to register a single point.
In parts of seven seasons in the AHL, Gove has scored 198 points (80G,118A) in 393 games.
Gove is scheduled to report to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.

yeah, I'm gonna miss Joe, but hopefully since he's been scratched a lot this year, this means that they will send Neddy or Rankers back down...
